      I did desperately want to go last year. I'm taking my daughter and having a mummy and daughter weekend. It's a good job she likes crafting.

    I'm hoping to go this year. In fact, I was hoping to go last year but it was the weekend that Daniel was moving out to go to uni, he went on the Sunday and I didn't feel that I could leave him on the Saturday as it was his last day at home. Fingers crossed for this year then, I might see you there.

And when you got your first comment how did you feel? I found a new blog friend this week and commented on her post, then another and then another. I like reading back posts when I find a new person. It makes them more of a full personality to me. But it got me thinking; how did I start writing my blog? And when did I get my first comment (and who off?) My first post was called Angel Jem; From Mess to Less.  Ho hum, that aim has never quite happened, has it? And my first commenter was the lovely Cherry Menlove. I'd been a blog-hopper for ages, had been leaving comments on others blogs and then decided I should probably dip my toe in and go for it. My Latest Trick...

I really need to introduce you to my latest hooky love, before it gets finished and I end up not telling you the back story. Let me show you what I'm on about first; World, meet Autumn Ripple Blanket (Autumn for short). You see, I have a granny square with flowers and a black background blanket that I'm desperate to finish for my bedroom, and a list of decorative items I'd like to do for Autumn and Christmas, so I sat down last week to make an Autumn Inspirations board on Pinterest (like you do) and made this; https://www.pinterest.com/angeljem5/autumn-and-fall/ and I loved the colours and the feelings it aroused in me. Colour-wise I am a warm autumn, but very often misbehave and don't wear them (long reason; won't say now) but I do love them, and the whole Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness bit, so the board keeps filling up with pure autumnal inspiration. Meal Planning Monday!!! Yeay!

It's the second week of term and the countdown to half term has started already. Well, it is only a 5 week term, so that's a blink of the eye. Meals for this week are; Monday; Pork fajitas. I cooked the pork on Sunday and left it in the fridge to be ready for a quick and easy meal after 2 hours of tutoring and before bookclub which today is discussing The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. Tuesday; Stir fried beef. We have some spring onions and some sugar snap peas to throw in with noodles and have a tasty chinese! Wednesday; Meatballs and mash. We love Aldi meatballs, or Frikadellen as they're called. They cook quickly and go with loads of options. Like mash, or chips, or pasta. Today is mash and peas and gravy. Lots of gravy. Thursday; Spaghetti Bolognese made in a jiffy with mince and a jar of pasta sauce. Somedays I am a lazy cook.
