Coolest Thing I Ever Saw; Fab-ruary 6
OOoooooo!
I'm not a cool person.
Even when cool was a cool thing to say, I was never a cool person.
Asking me to define cool is like asking ......, well, somebody with bad dress sense to define fashion or asking Mr AJ (tone deaf) to decide what song is on the radio. It's a mistake.
But helen has chosen this as the prompt, so I guess I should think of the answer as far as I know.
So, the coolest thing I ever saw.
Is that cheating? Well, yes it is. But it's funny, isn't it?
So, the real coolest thing I have ever seen?
Malala Yousafzai accepting her peace prize. At 17. And making sure that she is working for every woman to receive an education.
Now that is, in today's language, wicked, sick, epic, totes amazeballs.
That's cool.

Ha ha, that you even know that cool language is cool in my book.
ReplyDeleteI asked Sarah what the latest words were. And I have been called sick in school. I think we were talking Avengers and I said that Ultron was ok but not as good as Galactus. It is apparently a sick thing to say to a 10 year old boy.
DeleteI've never been cool, if I would use such a word my children would just roll there eyes ate me. Yes I agree with the last shot, that is cool!
ReplyDeleteIt's that fine line between being cool and trying to be cool. I, of course, just naturally am. (ha! I wish; my kids are just well-trained enough to leave the room to eye-roll!)
DeleteYup! She is very cool. xox
ReplyDeleteMalala = cool.
DeleteThe Polar Bear is also very cool ^_^ XOX
ReplyDeleteHia Jo....I didn't use the 'cool' myself today.....I've, also, never been cool even when cool was cool......Malala's story is awe-inspiring.....(in the framework of the correct usage of the word 'awe')....thanks so much for this post!
ReplyDeleteI noticed! But I liked what you did with the prompt.... and sometimes the twisted tale is the best one!
DeleteThis is totally cool!! Especially the Polar bear!! :)
ReplyDeleteI cannot say that I use the word cool - except in relation to temperature! - but these things are both very cool!! xx
