Hampshire Holiday Part 1;

Last week we were away in Hampshire. We hired a cottage in the village of Fordingbridge. You can see it here; not prettty, not thatched but very clean and so close to the village that you could walk out of the door and be in a Tesco Express or a Coop supermarket in five minutes. We like living in a small town best, really more than being in the middle of the country, although the Princess found this cottage on our route to and from the village which she says is her ideal home. Probably is, too. The ponies roam free outside the door, and the view from the house must be phenomenal.

Hampshire was a brilliant place to go on holiday; there was a good combination of activities for everyone and I know I could spend ages doing a review of each place we visited; Beaulieu, Portsmouth, Buckler's Hard, Winchester, but I don't feel like doing such a straightforward post series, so I'll grab different ideas and try something else this year.

  3. I'm with The Princess, that cottage looks idyllic. That view, and ponies roaming free, what's not to love?

  4. Nothing! And it even has a balcony. But she probably needs to make her million (and a bit more) to afford it!

  5. Both the cottage you stayed in and the cottage in the photograph look lovely! I must admit, Hampshire isn't somewhere that I know at all. Ironically, I've managed to stay around it but never in it! I look forward to your coming posts :)
