    I saw that link on Facebook this morning, it's brilliant. Shows Liverpool as the city that it really is, not the one that people imagine that it is xx

      And don't people imagine quite a bit!
      I was prompted to put this up by Heart-Shaped who had been on a trip to Liverpool, and it reminded me that what I think of as 'just Liverpool' is actually a really good place to visit!

    so funny! I went to University in Liverpool and loved it. ashamed to say haven't been back for over 20 years...... must remedy that......

      they were pretty grotty...., the council condemned them, so the college bought them and put students in. I looked on google maps and they've been done up again now. so funny to see all the places I remember, and some new things. We used to go to Albert Docks and watch them film the weather on a foam map of the UK that floated on the water.

    Haven't been to Liverpool since we took a school trip for a tour of the university. It's on my list of places to visit now that I can really appreciate them.

      Which great Northern powerhouse do you live in or near? Leeds? Sheffield? Bradford? I think every city has something good going for them, if only the friendliness of the people.

      Except perhaps for Milton Keynes. I don't know what its good points are.

And when you got your first comment how did you feel? I found a new blog friend this week and commented on her post, then another and then another. I like reading back posts when I find a new person. I really need to introduce you to my latest hooky love, before it gets finished and I end up not telling you the back story. Let me show you what I'm on about first; World, meet Autumn Ripple Blanket (Autumn for short). You see, I have a granny square with flowers and a black background blanket that I'm desperate to finish for my bedroom, and a list of decorative items I'd like to do for Autumn and Christmas, so I sat down last week to make an Autumn Inspirations board on Pinterest (like you do) and made this; https://www.pinterest.com/angeljem5/autumn-and-fall/ and I loved the colours and the feelings it aroused in me. Meal Planning Monday!!! Yeay!

It's the second week of term and the countdown to half term has started already. Well, it is only a 5 week term, so that's a blink of the eye. Meals for this week are; Monday; Pork fajitas. I cooked the pork on Sunday and left it in the fridge to be ready for a quick and easy meal after 2 hours of tutoring and before bookclub which today is discussing The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. Tuesday; Stir fried beef. We have some spring onions and some sugar snap peas to throw in with noodles and have a tasty chinese! Wednesday; Meatballs and mash. We love Aldi meatballs, or Frikadellen as they're called. They cook quickly and go with loads of options. Like mash, or chips, or pasta. Today is mash and peas and gravy. Lots of gravy. Thursday; Spaghetti Bolognese made in a jiffy with mince and a jar of pasta sauce. Somedays I am a lazy cook.
