    I'm already planning xmas decorations - it's silly really, but I just love the run up to christmas. I love shops glittering with lights at 4pm, when it's icy-cold and dark. Heaven.

    Now that the weather is turning cooler where I am and the new academic term has started I really do feel it's getting closer to Christmas and I am sooo excited!!

    I really enjoyed catching up on your blog.I hope you are feeling better,I think that the wavy blanket is gorgeous and you could give Cath Kidston a run for her money easily.
    I did read on one blog that the CK crochet blanket was of poor quality by CK standards and badly made too !!!!!
    I always eat gingerbreadmen in twos,so sad to die alone !!!
    The book stats are amazing I read lots of books and have since I was four so I must have read well over their estimate of 500 or so.
    As for Christmas,I started shopping months ago,I just love it.

    So - I am more than a bit slow - this really is an actual countdown to Christmas. Thanks so much. I have 'plans' to have a crafty stall at the school Christmas fair,open an Etsy shop, make a fabric rheindeer advent calendar, make as many of my presents as poss, make a Christmas cake and some decorations. No sleep 'til January then - cheers luv xxxxxxx

    I love Christmas but I do get a little stressed which is not good!
    I love reading all the other blogs at this time of the year as they are so inspiring.

    I so admire all of you that make so many of your gifts as well as have Christmas fairs etc.

And when you got your first comment how did you feel? I found a new blog friend this week and commented on her post, then another and then another. I like reading back posts when I find a new person. It makes them more of a full personality to me. But it got me thinking; how did I start writing my blog? And when did I get my first comment (and who off?) My first post was called Angel Jem; From Mess to Less.  Ho hum, that aim has never quite happened, has it? And my first commenter was the lovely Cherry Menlove. I'd been a blog-hopper for ages, had been leaving comments on others blogs and then decided I should probably dip my toe in and go for it. Meal Planning Monday!!! Yeay!

It's the second week of term and the countdown to half term has started already. Well, it is only a 5 week term, so that's a blink of the eye. Meals for this week are; Monday; Pork fajitas. I cooked the pork on Sunday and left it in the fridge to be ready for a quick and easy meal after 2 hours of tutoring and before bookclub which today is discussing The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. Tuesday; Stir fried beef. We have some spring onions and some sugar snap peas to throw in with noodles and have a tasty chinese! Wednesday; Meatballs and mash. We love Aldi meatballs, or Frikadellen as they're called. They cook quickly and go with loads of options. Like mash, or chips, or pasta. Today is mash and peas and gravy. Lots of gravy. Thursday; Spaghetti Bolognese made in a jiffy with mince and a jar of pasta sauce. Somedays I am a lazy cook. Friday; The children are having fried chicken and chips, while we will have a fast paella from the Hairy Dieters later on. Sat...
